Impact of organizational improvement on the Provincial Agricultural Marketing Company, Villa Clara province, Cuba

Abstract
Context: The improvement of agricultural trading companies constitutes one of the main objectives for the strengthening, sustainability, and viability of the current Cuban economic model, and it is also one of the issues that most impacts food and nutritional security and the system of social relations of production in agriculture.
Objectives: To evaluate the impacts of organizational improvement in the Provincial Agricultural Trading Company, in the province of Villa Clara, Cuba.
Methods: The methods used were the analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive, and logical-historical methods; interviews with managers; group work techniques; source triangulation; process mapping; statistical techniques; and an audit program.
Results: Economic and social impacts are obtained from the introduction of business improvement measures in the company Acopio Villa Clara, along with the ten variables that most impact its implementation, with correlation levels measured by Cronbach’s Coefficient of 0.9442.
Conclusions: The economic and social impacts resulting from the introduction of business improvement measures in the company Acopio Villa Clara constitute an organizational reference for other similar collection and supply companies in the country. This is due to the results achieved in increasing sales and reducing salary expenses within the company, as well as its contribution to social consumption, industry, import substitution, exports, wholesale and retail sales in the agricultural market network, and border sales.
